Carley Wolf

Gypsy Folk Rock

At age 15 Carley joined a group of seasoned musicians from the band The Sundowners and formed The Carley Darlynn Band. They played originals and rockabilly music all around Texas. Some of the highlights include the Westheimer Street Festival, Rudyards, the Mucky Duck, and the Black Cat Lounge. During her time in Houston she won various talent competitions around the area and was featured on Deborah Duncan’s Morning Show in a showcase titled "Houston’s Great Talent."

Carley moved to San Marcos in 2003 and studied sound recording technology and classical guitar performance at Texas State University. The Blue Moon band was formed in 2004 which was a mixture of original gypsy folk rock tunes and bluegrass style traditionals. With solid three-part harmonies, passionate melodies, and true emotion pouring out of the musicians on stage, it was always a great show.

In 2006 Carley was recruited to join The Crooked Jades out of San Francisco, CA. She toured the west coast, Canada, Germany and Switzerland playing the mandolin, guitar, banjo uke, and singing old time songs and originals. This experience allowed her to grow as a musician, learn about touring, and see the world, all while gaining new fans.

After graduating and releasing a bilingual documentary titled Music Through the Bloodline, Carley is currently preparing to record her debut album. Her latest project Royal Jelly will be releasing From the Crow's Nest to the Widow's Walk this summer with Wepecket Records of Massachusetts. Look for that along with a music video and live DVD.
